FB application - how to check who all joined the channel from a mailing list

My client has a mailing list with 10,000 members. Now we need to create an FB channel for its brand and send email to all the 10,000 members. My requirement is how can I check who all joined the channel from this 10,000 users. Can I write an FB application to check this?
