How can I access the sitemap stats from webmaster tools from a script?

When you are on the Sitemaps page of Google Webmaster tools (i.e. https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/sitemap-list?hl=en&siteUrl=http://yoursite.com/)

you will see something like:

Sitemap stats
Total URLs: 10
Indexed URLs: 5

Is there a way to access these numbers using an API?
