How to select and delete, move multiple items in tree in Sitecore 6 content editor?

I haven't found a way to do it, other than selecting an entire folder/parent. I think it's just a limitation of the UI. Would love to be wrong.

I'm afraid I think Bryan is right. I've not found a way to do it either, even in V6. A total pain. The only thing I did find for "batch" copying was to copy Presentation Configuration (sublayout / rendering stack for a page) to multiple other pages (using the "copy to") link from the details pane, but... it doesn't work for me :(.
