I am planning to apply a license to my thesis project and reading section 9 of the Apache License 2.0 got me thinking:

While redistributing the Work or Derivative Works thereof, You may choose to offer, and charge a fee for, acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity, or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this License.

Does this mean that I can for example GWT (since it is licensed under Apache License 2.0) charge a fee for for "acceptance of support, warranty, indemnity, or other liability obligations and/or rights consistent with this License"? So if there are bugs in GWT can I fix it and then charge the fixed version I come up with?

A:

Yes, but people can take the version they paid for, and redistribute it for free.
