MySite - Personal Documents Automatically added to Outlook Why?

MySite - Personal Documents Automatically added to Outlook.

Can anyone tell me why the personal documents folder from a users mysite is automatically added to a users "SharePoint" lists in outlook? I know how I can remove this from the list, and how I can make it never show up again. I am just wondering what the process is for Outlook to auto discover this list and automatically add it to your Outlook?
