I just came into a project that has xp embedded devices already in the field. I was asked to start collecting performance counters. The embedded xp is the default SP2 image. When I type perfmon.msc in run, it says it cannot find it.
Based on a google search, I am assuming that the Embedded SP2 Feature Pack 2007 had to be used during the image build for perfmon to be present.
Can I apply the feature pack directly to the devices? The download page makes it appear the feature pack is designed to be used only in Windows Embedded Studio.
Is there any other way to get perfmon onto the devices? If not, does the default SP2 image have Sysmon.ocx capabilities?
