I do have a site collection that contains a custom list. Later I have created a child site for the current site collection.
I have to add a page that contains a data view web part in that page, that looks for the list in the parent site collection.
I have noticed that web part properties is working well. Unfortunately Editing tab is not doing the same! Editing tab contains three check boxes that enable the user of the list to edit, delete and insert records in the data view web part against the source list (or library or whatever the datasource type)
I have tried creating a page with the same data view web part. This time the page is in the same site collection. And this time the Editing tab options is available!
Question: How could I enable the Editing tab in the date view web part in child site page? and What is the reason for this status?
