we recently installed SharePoint 2010. I am trying to connect our SharePoint server with another server that hosts our Pervasive database. I can do the connection between these 2 servers in Access, but I am having problems connecting SharePoint to Pervasive.
In SharePoint Designer, I tried to create a database connection>OLEDB>connection string
"Driver={Pervasive ODBC Client Interface};ServerName=myServerAddress;dbq=@dbname;"
First I would get a warning: "The selected authentication option saves the username and password as clear text in the data connection. Other authors in this web site can access this information."
Next, I click Ok, and get the following error: "Server error; An error occurred while retrieving the list of Databases: the server for the data source returned a non-specific error when trying to execute your query. Check the format and content of your query and try again. '
Any ideas on how this can be fixed? Thanks
