i tried the question that is asked here but not much could get from it. Does anyone know where to research or if has a project for sftp using vb.net?

I performed the same search (for several weeks, actually, asking around, googling, etc.) and didn't find anything. it is possible that since I researched this for our product, an open source alternative has come out, but in order to save you time and effort, I'd suggest that you look, but don't spend too much time on it. Be open to alternatives.
You could try here for one option for a component you can use in your code.
However, on our project, we ended up using a non-.NET product that could be scripted because it was easier and cheaper than trying to find a .NET SFTP component that worked.
