Hi Everybody,

I am newbie to Performance Point Server; recently I have started working on the same and I am trying to migrate a site from MOSS 2007 to 2010. The MOSS 2007 site consists of various Dashboard pages containing reports (Analytical Charts) which are published or deployed from the Performance Point Dashboard Designer. I managed to migrate a site but without the Dashboard Pages using content database attachment method.

I read lots of articles stating Performance Point Services are now integrated into SharePoint Server 2010. I just want to know if this is the case then do I need to install Performance Point Server or MOSS 2010 will also acts as a Performance Point Server. So the questions arises are as following,

• Is Performance Point Server comes along with SharePoint 2010?

• What do I need to do if I want to Show the Dashboard page consisting of different charts coming from the PPS using SSAS with a Data Source as a Cube (I know a bit of SSAS and Performance Point Server) on SharePoint 2010 Site?

• Do I need to only install Dashboard designer for MOSS 2010?

• I saw a section named Performance Point in SharePoint 2010 while adding a web part on a page so does it mean there are total 4 Out-Of-The-Box web parts in 2010?

• Will these web parts are strong enough to show Performance Point Dashboard Items?

In short I want to know how I can use PPS, MOSS 2010 and Dashboard designer in order to show Dashboard items on a particular MOSS 2010 site. What are the prerequisites? Which installation I need? Etc.
