Hi Robert,
I saw an answer from 2009 that indicated you have used Stimulsoft for WPF reporting. I am in need of a WPF reporting tool currently and I'm not sure what direction to go. I've looked at a couple of third party options (DevExpress, Infragistics, ComponentOne and Stimulsoft) as well as using native XPS Flow/Fixed document approach. In my first order pass through this, it seems that by far the Stimulsoft offering was the most fully featured of the options.
My questions about it are: 1) What options exist for embedding it seamlessly within a WPF application (e.g. as a tabbed content window)? 2) Are there any issues you've found related to the fact that it's developed in Russia (e.g. default printer values aren't what you'd expect, poor documentation, etc).? 3) Can you disable/hide toolbar elements in the Stimulsoft report viewer window? 4) What do you think of it's theme/style support? 5) Is it easy to connect to data sources? 6) Will it support ADO.NET connections as I'm thinking of using EntityFrameworks 4 to interface to a MySQL database? 7) Where do you feel it's weaknesses are and were you able to workaround most of those?
Thanks very much in advance! Gerard
