generation of decision tree.dtreg -xlspina

Hi,I want help about generating decision tree.I have a project and for this project I must generate decision tree.Firstly I used dtreg to create tree,I tried with a simple example but the tree which was generated was not same with the tree given in example .Also The number of variables are reduced too much by using dtreg.I have 21 variables but in tree 6 variables are used.Then I tried to use xlspina method but still I have problems .Can you help me ,what can I do for this problem ?Can I increase the number of variables used in dtreg?Or is there another solution?
