I am attempting to understand the complete picture of Service Broker external activation. I have found bits and pieces of different aspects, but nothing that is a complete simple sample. Can anyone point me to one?

yes, but it is not a complete example. If there is not one available then I will try to use the several incomplete ones I have found including this to piece together a working sample.

I have attempted to use the very simple example from "Pro SQL Server 2008 Service Broker" by Klaus Aschenbrenner and use the External Activator in the SQL Server 2008 Feature Pack. I have used the information in "Getting Started With Using External Activator" and "Sample activated application" but there is some piece of information or mapping to the EAService.config. I have seen multiple posts with this same question and not any complete answers. If anyone has a working example I would appreciate seeing the end-to-end config
