I have a few on mine. Basically just the set of Kimball books:

  • The Data Warehouse LifeCycle
  • The Data Warehouse ETL Toolkit
  • The Data Warehouse Toolkit

Are there any others that should be included? Or any other good ones you know?

I find that an infallible sign of database nightmares ahead is when I visit a customer's office and see a row of Kimball books on a shelf :(

Some reliable books authored by people who never drank the Kimball kool-aid:

Terry Halpin, Information Modeling and Relational Databases

Fabian Pascal, Practical Issues in Database Management

Bill Inmon, Building the Data Warehouse

I'm curious as to why you think so poorly of Kimball's books and sure the author of the question would like some detail on why as well.
