That may be of some help.

If you use Google chrome, this is also a neat tool: https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/aonjhmdcgbgikgjapjckfkefpphjpgma?hl=en

You may find Position is Everything to be useful in learning about page layout.

Good link, but what an ugly site for a web design page, right?

@Jason - I will admit that the PIE site is not the most attractive site. It does do a good job of teaching how layout works across many browsers and many use cases.

Hi there, Just have a search on google and you'll find loads or resources: http://www.google.co.nz/search?hl=en&q=learn+about+web+design&aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=

Then to give you an editor to help you get underway try http://www.aptana.com/ - It's free and very powerful - Or if you are on osx have a look at http://www.panic.com/coda/ - not free unforutnately

And just to throw another developer tool at you - have a look at http://getfirebug.com/ for Firefox - It's a bit of classic and very useful once you have made your page and need a debugger :)
