Looking for good SIP Book

Hey guys

I am looking for a SIP book similar to this one on XMPP - Professional XMPP Programming with Javascript and Jquery (http://www.amazon.com/Professional-Programming-JavaScript-jQuery-Programmer/dp/0470540710)

I am new to the area and any resources would be appreciated, thanks

I would suggest you look at "IP Telephony" by Hersent, Petit and Gurle. (ISBN 0470023597) It covers SIP, H.323 and MGCP and some of the basics of IP telephony. I find it extremely readable.

'Convergence Technologies for 3G Networks' published by Wiley is an excellent book on Mobile networks (GSM, UMTS, IMS etc - not WiFi) and contains a reasonably sized section on SIP which provides a good overview.

If your target domain is Mobile Networks then it may be a good choice.

The SIP book from Johnson (a co-author of the standard) is the generally accepted guide to SIP.
