After full fresh Windows XP system reinstallation, I've installed SQL Server 2008 R2 and Visual Studio 2010. Soon I've found that I also have some very handicapped version of VS 2008 IDE installed as a part of VS2010 or SQLServer, and It tries (but fails as it lacks important plug-ins as far as I understand) to open Visual Studio solutions I doubleclick if they are made With VS2008. At the same time there are a lot of interesting projects on the Web still targeting VS2008.

So, can I install a full-featured VS 2008 now, without it breaking something (for example by replacing some files with older versions)?
