How can i get Simple Plain Text from WMD Editor?

Question

I'm able to get Markdown and html formated text from WMD editor. In my requirement i also need to get plain text from WMD Editor. I would like to explain a simple example.

In StackOverflow we will see markdown text while typing description in wmd editor, in preview we are able to see the formated text. In Question Page, with out this markdown and formated text we are able to see the question description in two lines.

I need to achieve same kind of functionality. Please suggest me what i need to do.
