I'm looking for a book on MVC. I've tried diving head-first into it without any documentation, but I didn't really learn about the core concepts. I'm a hands on kinda guy, so the ideal book would teach me the concepts and then allow me to implement them with mini-projects.

There are plenty of books to choose from on Amazon, but recommendations would be helpful.

Well the first chapter or so, but it gets you started.

Plus you can buy the full book.

I found this helpful for learning MVC (in fact it's all I've read on MVC, other than code)

Honestly, if you're a hands-on type of guy find some online tutorials and run through those. I don't know about you, but those books tend to put me to sleep after a chapter or two. Actually looking online and writing samples and whatnot tends to be far more valuable to me. :)

Definitely a hands on type of guy, but I find that online tutorials don't always give me the reasoning behind the actions. I can certainly appreciate the usefulness of what the web has to offer, though!

His original book on MVC was the best. Very well written and organized. I haven't read his book on MVC2 yet but it will be the first one I read on the subject.
