I've gotten all kinds of connection strings from webhost4life. It really seems like they don't have people trained well enough to resolve technical issues beyond certain obvious things.
I've tried more then 10 versions of this web.config file ,, custom errors off/remoteonly, authentication form/windows & password/pwd(as per support rep. I submitted a ticket Friday and still didnt get a response, pretty messed up.
My database is mysql and they supposedly only use odbc 3.51 though 1 rep told me to use sqloledb provider, which I also forgot to mention made me try 4 different versions of my web.config file, I"M EXHAUSTED to say the least.
The bold text is what I've fiddled with ,,, everything else is what vs generated from a page that runs perfectly fine, locally.

This is the error I get when loading the application (note: the ** between connectionstring, authentication mode & customerrors were my attempt to make the code bold.)
I also set my ed directory as both an application and virtual directory in the web console, I have no more ideas
