Conflict with IE and JQuery mouseover and mouseout events

Question

I have an animation that works PERFECTLY in firefox, and is completely broken in IE. By default I set the opacity of a button to .4, so its partially invisible. Then, when you move over a certain area, the button is supposed to return to normal full color. As I said, it works great in ff, but in ie, when you mouseover IT DISAPPEARS!! Not quite the effect I was looking for...

Any thoughts?
