I spent half an hour trying to figure out what I cant do in SQL 2008 Standard in terms of importing data using SSIS pacakges vs Enterprise edition and simply couldnt find the answer..

Microsoft provides a comparison between Standard and Enterprise for SQL Server 2008 here.
Both version provide the primary features, such as the SSIS run-time, data sources, destinations, and basic transformations.
You gain some of the more exotic transformations with Enterprise. Some features include Data Mining, fuzzy grouping and lookup, and term lookup.
