Is it possible to express "Like" on a Facebook album picture outside Facebook himself using API?

Hi all!

I've tried in vain to manage how to adapt the Like Button Plugin found at

http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like

trying to make it works in do-like action on a picture instead of a page.

Can someone kindly tell if is this possible via the Open Graph protocol and metatags to like an album picture published on an external website?
