I'm not a beginner programmer. What would be a good book that has be build a working application with ASP.Net Webforms? (I'm familiar with MVC2)

Thanks.

A:

That's somewhat subjective. A good book for me could probably end up being not of much interest to you and vice versa. What are you looking for in such a book? Much examples, deep knowledge about 1 subject or a very broad one?

There's a dedicated forum about (ASP).NET books here: http://forums.asp.net/58.aspx.

Since I'm just starting with Webforms, a book that held my hand on creating a fully working application would be a great resource for me. I'm looking for more of a tutorial book than a 2000 page reference book. Thanks!

Here are some good books

Hanselman is my favorite programmer so I think his book would be a good read. (His MVC2 was great). Thanks!

I'm a fan of the wrox line of books. They always have good examples and not just a list of features. I just checked ASP.NET 4.0 (McGraw Hill) from the library and it read like a reference book. Not a good read.
