There are a large number of software development conferences held around the world every year, but I've yet to find a website that contains anything approaching a comprehensive list of them all. Does anyone know of one?

I'm particularly interested in conferences held in the US or UK for Microsoft products or technologies, as well as conferences focusing on best practices for architecture and process.

Microsoft Flash often publishes event dates, both national and regional..

Trouble is, I dont think there is a "one-stop-shop" :( Just get as many RSS feeds and newsletters as possible!

Google Developer Events Calendar

You can use the Developer Events Calendar to find Google-sponsored and/or Google-attended events (in red), or those added by the community (in purple). To include your meetup or user group in the list of community events, simply: [Add an event]

Thanks for the answers so far. I also found http://www.allconferences.com/Computers/ but it's also far from comprehensive.
