jquery animations die on ie8

Hello everyone.

My background is flash animation/development and I decided to start working on my first html+css+js site. The site works great on both platforms using FF, Chrome, Safari. But on ie8 the animations do not run smoothly. I narrowed the bug but have no idea how to fix it. The bug appears to be the plugin.js files that I call. If I have no plugins the animatons work perfect but every plugin that I add slowly kills the animations.
