Hi!

I discovered a problem related to Word documents (with macros) hosted in an IIS virtual directory.

Here is an example of a document with macro:

http://sites.google.com/site/wjatjoi/ExemploErro42482.doc

After countless tests, I got the problem with replicable success on any computer. It occurs in a very particular situation:

1 - A document with a macro that uses the event Documento_Open and makes reference to Active_document

2 - Host this document in an IIS virtual directory

3 - Open it in IE8 (no instance of the word should be active at that time) and ask to open directly (the option to save the document in question the problem). Exemple: localhost/doc/ExemploErro42482.doc

4 - The word must be configured to run macros directly without prompt(very dangerous, I know)

Under these conditions, for some reason I ignore, the macro runs before the opening of word, that makes no exits an Active_Document that causes the error 4248.

I have the following options:

1 - Do not allow macros to run automatically, making the display a Word prompt them to execution.

2 - Using any other browser that is not IE8/7 (with google chrome or firefox I do not get this behavior)

3 - Save the document and open it later

4 - Host the documents in a web server that is not IIS

I believe the first option is the best, but would like to get an official response from Microsoft regarding this problem. I need an official document to convince our client that this is no fault of our system and close this issue.

Thanks and sorry for my poor english.
