Verizon VZW CDMA GPS support in .NET Compact Framework app

There seems to be a challenge around getting .NET Compact Framework applications to be able to access GPS data on Verizon devices, which are CDMA devices.

I've searched but haven't been able to find the solution to this. I heard there was something like a registry setting that needed to be enabled but haven't been able to find the details.

Anyone have any ideas or know any options?
