hi this is ahamed, i need some ideas for indesign with XSLT...i donot have any idea about programming
i am using indesign CS3.. i have ms access file contain 8 columns. 1st column Classification 2nd column company name 3rd column postbox 4th column city 5th column telephone 6th column fax 7th column email 8th column website
First, how to tag properly in ms access for XML, or use a map or create a schema, whatever it's called. which seems to have limited capabilities in terms of tagging and XML, but there is a very strong possibility I am just doing it completely wrong. Second, I am trying to figure out how to tag properly in InDesign to import the XML schema I created and get everything to go where I want it.
just i convert xml from ms access file. then i import to indesign it showing 8 columns in 8 lines.
my requirement for indesign (title : classification) (first line: company name) (second line: postbox, city, telephone and fax) (third line : email) (fourth line: website) telephone, fax, email should need static text such as tel:, fax:, email:....
1.classification is repeating elements, 2.sort by classification, 3.remove empty element,
then when i update xml file in indesign that time all effect lose such as ruler or highlights...so how to update my xml without lose..
so please give me any ideas. for this topic
thanks
ahamed
