Oracle Coherence*Web : SPI or instrumentation approach better ?

Question

Hi,

We were trying to deploy Oracle "Coherence*Web and Coherence Cache Cluster" to our web application.

And we comparing which of the above methods of using Coherence*Web is better? Coherence*Web SPI or the Webinstaller way?

I tried searching oracle blogs, wiki and forums.

In Coherence 3.5, Coherence*Web integrates with WebLogic Server and WebLogic Portal 10.3 and 9.2 MP1 using the native WebLogic session management SPI.

The result of this tighter integration with WebLogic is :

1. simplified installation and
2. deployment that no longer requires application instrumentation (via the WebInstaller).
