I just spent far too long wandering around Oracle's website looking for the latest developer documentation for Oracle Forms (10g or 11g versions preferably). The closest I came was this page, but none of the links I clicked actually brought me to useful documentation.

http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/10g_forms.html

I'm looking for information on actually building apps with Oracle Forms. Things like how to use the IDE, the PL/SQL syntax for creating forms, the built-in APIs, etc.

Anyone have a better link to the Forms documentation?

A:

i believe that Oracle Forms has now become APEX (Oracle Application Express).

To simplify, APEX is web version of Forms.

I think Oracle provides some ways to translate from Forms to APEX.

So you will find more informations about using APEX.

EDIT : Forms isn't in fact replaced by APEX (even though i think it should ;) ) And here is a link to the technical documentation :

I don't believe this is true. APEX and Oracle Form are distinct technologies.

You are right : http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/overview/index.html "Oracle remains committed to the development of this technology"

Finally found something, here:

No reference to it from the Oracle pages, but found a direct link to a page on some forum post. Really sad how hard it was to find.
