Sharepoint Reference

Hi,

I am trying to use sharepoint classes in my application. I have added the reference using the browse option and added the Microsoft.SharePoint.dll.

I have created this website through IIS option. I have rebuilt the site couple of times, but still It keeps saying ,

"Error 2 The type or namespace name 'SharePoint' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft' (are you missing an assembly reference?/ "

Could anyone sort this!!
