Text Editor very slow in IE8

I've comming up with a very strange problem when I try to test a page in IE7 and IE8. I have a page with an text editor which in IE8 the tipying is realy slow (the words appeared afterwards), but works fine in IE7 and IE8 compatible mode

Does anyone know of any reason this could be happening?
