hey all, i need help in a topic to which am a newbie. i currently registered for a pattern recognition course, i have this binary pattern given in the attached pic , and i am asked to find algorithms that will: -a) smooth the pattern -b) normalize the size of the pattern -c) correct its slant
i am not asking for someone to solve it for me, i would just kindly and highly appreciate if anyone can guide me around it, like what does smoothing, normalizing and correcting slant mean? how do you approach such task? any good website/ book to read? i read the provided book in the course but it is very advanced...
