Does any major travel website have such an API, for example -- e.g., Expedia, Travelocity, Kayak, etc.? Presumably it would have to involve a secure connection, credit card information, etc.

Honestly, I don't even know enough to know whether this is an absurd question. Just curious if anyone out there happens to know what the options are.

There probably are, but I doubt they would be public. More like interfaces for partners and large clients.

Yeah, that makes sense. But I thought maybe one of those travel sites would have some sort of program whereby you could book through their site and get some sort of referral credit, sort of like what Amazon has.
