SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS) and SQL Server Agent (SQLEXPRESS)

Hello there,

I came across these two services separately running in Services.msc -

  • SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS) - started+Automatic
  • SQL Server Agent (SQLEXPRESS) - Disabled

Can you please guide why do we need SQL Server Agent (SQLEXPRESS)?
