how to start chip level programming

Hello Friend,

I am a php programmer having 3 years of experience.. Now I want to learn chip level programming to switch a fan on and off.

Please guide me how to start and how to develop such hardware..

I am new in chip level programming and also I do not have any idea about electronics..

so there may be problem with developing microprocessor etc..

You might want to look at Arduino, it's an open source hardware/software electronics prototyping platform with a great IDE and excellent user community. Definitely a great place to start.

For controlling a DC fan you will need a switch which can be created with a simple transistor circuit. For an AC fan you can use a mechanical relay switch.
