Anybody aware of good resources for a MIPS beginner? Somewhere where I can find things like;

  • Tutorials
  • Examples
  • Practice exercises
  • Guides

Any resource would be fine, however I would obviously prefer if it's free and online.

Thanks!

Obviously not free, but Computer Organization and Design is considered one of the best books for computer architecture in general. It uses MIPS as the architecture taught. One of the authors is a primary designer of MIPS itself. Amazon Link

The MIPS site also has a lot of material. It might be better as a reference though. MIPS Site
