This is not a programming question; but I am at my wits end and was hoping people wouldn't mind me asking for help here, sorry if this is a problem! I just found the people on this website are generally so helpful and knowledgable that I was hoping that somebody would be able to help.
I have a quite peculiar problem that I cannot seem to fix - Firefox and Chrome will not work, they both get stuck on 'connecting...' and 'sending request...' respectively, and then time out and give me an error. Internet Explorer, however, works.
Now, here is the really peculiar part - Firefox and Chrome work, whenever I do a full restart...until I put my laptop into standby mode (as I frequently have to do). They then revert to getting stuck as I previously mentioned.
I've googled everything I can think of, disabled all of my firewalls, uninstalled all software that could be interfering with them using Revo uninstaller, reinstalled Firefox and Chrome with Revo, ran several virus scans and CCleaner, changed the proxy settings around, changed default IPV6 and DNS prefetch settings...I've exhausted everything I can think of.
Please help me if you have any ideas, as I really need to get Firefox up and running soon to work on some projects. Thank you very much !
