Depends on the task you had to to. Typical homework should not be uploaded to Sourceforge.

Depends on the possible interest by the community. I think it's a bad, bad idea. Homeworks are usually the same kinds of questions, already solved by many expert people, but that students can think difficult.

I think no one cares about your, and also mine, implementation of Bubble Sort, etc.

However, I had experience of homework on Sourceforge: LeonidasP2P (a name we chose after watching 300's Bluray :-P) was started as project work for Telematics Applications @ University of Naples "Federico II", it's a porting of phpMyBitTorrent, made by myself years ago and also on SF. The problem with the ASP.NET tracker is that I had to stop the project after submitting it both because I didn't had time to maintain it but also found no great interest from the community.

Now I did the same with my senior grade thesis: Logbus-ng.

Why did I do that and I'm telling you it's a bad idea? Because I chose to publish only those innovative projects that may raise interest in the community. I did lots of implementations of sorting algorithms, etc, but never I dreamt about making them open source project.

Anyway, if you have smart ideas during your homework, but really smart consider the Code Project. You might get a name, which is very useful when filing your CV to ICT companies :)
