Hi guys, do you know any free data modeling tool for SQL Server similar to the ERwin Data Modeler or the ER/Studio?

Sybase Power Designer is one of the best IMHO. It allows you to model your Database as a Conceptual Data Model and later generate a Physical Data Model for almost hundreds of Database servers including several SQL Server versions with optimized code.
Once you have the Physical Data Model you can even tweak it with SQL Server specific SQL features with just a mouse click.
Alternative cheaper solution is Dezign for Databases. But I'm not so familiar with it.

Yes, it is quite expensive indeed. However during my work I found it very useful. Free ones I've only heard about Visual Paradigm Community Edition (http://www.visual-paradigm.com/product/vpuml/communityedition.jsp). But I never tried it

the visual paradigm CE does not generate SQL on its data modeling. so kind of a limitation. :-)

A Free alternative is Visual Paradigm Community Edition but I cannot give you any feedback on it because I never used it in a project. I'm too addicted to PowerDesigner :)
