I'm on a new project and the BA's want to use StyleVision and some of the other Altova tools to work with the client and IM guys.

Altova lists integration with VS.

Basically, BA takes xsd, mocks up UI with it and then I use that to wire everything up.

This is going to be a ASP.NET maybe WPF/Silverlight project.

Does anybody have any experience, knowledge, related experience with this approach?

As long as I don't have to redo the UI in xxx technology I'm good with it.

I have to say I'm impressed with the maturity of the Altova tools, but I have reservations about mixing vendors like this...

UPDATE:

I've gone through the above process and it has some issues. Mainly the gap between what the BA provides and what I have to do to implement in .NET is larger than the possible benefits of the having the BA do finalize the UI with the client. Better off with a napkin drawing.

Does anyone have another process that allows the BA's to do some of the UI work with the client?
