What is the ugliest hack you've used in your code? You've not proud of using it, but it works, and you haven't found another way to do it?
The ugliest one that I've done was writing some music in Lilypond. I wanted a horizontal bracket over my notes, so I hacked one together using the ottavation funtion, but removed all the text and redefined the ottavation to not transpose by an octave....
