Excessive horizontal is more annoying. I have a scroll wheel on my mouse for excessive vertical.

Excessively any one of those will be annoying. Eliminate the one liners and make your functions do one thing well.

I'm inclined to say 'excessively horizontal'; both are obviously annoying but horizontal is just morally wrong. If it weren't, the mouse wheel would work horizontally.
