Please help with 'System.Data.DataRowView' does not contain a property with the name...

Question

My application works just fine until, in some unidentified conditions, it begins throwing this errors:

When these errors start appearing, they appear in all over the application, no matter the code is built using ObjectDataSource or SqlDataSource. However, apparently, if the code uses some "classic", code-behind data-binding, that code does not throw errors (they do not show in the application event log), the page is displayed but it does not contain any data....

Please HELP tracking these very strange errors !!!!!!

I am getting exactly the same errors.

1. This code has been working for months/years.
2. When it starts happening, it can be on any page within the web site, so its not just isolated to one page, this confirms that its not a bug with a particular page or single database query etc.
3. It's only happening totally intermittently. E.g. I can refresh the page and see the error, but then refresh again 10 times and the page will load fine. Then another refresh and it may display the error again for example. This would normally indicate either performance issues (SQL Server out of memory?) or something compromised on the server (uh oh).
4. The field DEFINITELY DOES exist, so its not a code related bug. This code always worked, and the data and fields that are being pulled are simple static lookup data from a single db table. The field names haven't changed recently.

Ok update: Its a hacking attempt. SQL Injection. We are getting malicious URL requests to a particular page very frequently that are literally bogging down SQL Server or something.

Just now decoding the request to see what they were trying to achieve, but it just looks like a select to try to pull data out on the surface.

The User Host IP address is blanked out, they are spoofing so you can't get their IP address. But our network provider is running some pretty good equipment and they might be able to pull something out from the hardware logs that we aren't getting in IIS.

I do not think it is an attack. The server is in our intranet and all the traffic is monitored.

I think that the errors start appearing after I "hammer" the application by generating long reports (reporting services). Although, the reports run fine for a while, even if I stress the server with CPU to ~100%... Then, suddenly, this error, even if there are no more reports or other activity on the server except me...

I was also getting the same problem, the reason I find out behind it was that my connection class and connection object it was returning was shared (static in c#) , that was causing these weird errors in my application. I kept my connection class shared but made connection object local in that class, and that resolved the problem.

you should also check you connection class and object. It might not be the case but could be possible.
