Are there any open source Point of sales system available that can work with scanners and all?

Has decent accounting and inventory functionalities?

Look into MozPos & freepos. There are over 200 POS projects on sourceforge.net. There is also a bigger list of opens source POS here, not sure if the list is up to date though.
