Web based project management tool

Question

Hey all,

I'm looking for a free web based project management tool that can do at least the following:

• Task lists with deadlines
• Email reminders
• Collaboration on documents/items
• Progress monitoring

There will be less than 5 people using this under the account at one time.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Edit: To get a further idea of what I mean, something such as http://www.subernova.com/, or Basecamp For alerting - I'm not looking for an email when a ticket/task is updated, but rather reminders for tasks

Checkout Zoho. For small stuff, it is free, and even when not it is pretty dirt cheap.

we use Taskii for all our projects : it does what you want, has a free plan and is in constant improvement, albeid very mature and feature-full. Nice ui too!

Check out VisionProject. This is a great tool to be used for Project Management. A lot of people I talked to use it for HelpDesk, Issue Tracking and Document Management as well. This makes the tool extremely powerful. I think there are other systems that have all those features in one system, but not a lot and definitely not as user friendly as VisionProject.

Hi,

I recommend you to take a look at iManageProject. It's basecamp style, but more affordable. It also has a free account with all the features of paid account except it's just for 1 project.

Basecamp and other similar ones are overkill and if you are looking for simplicity then things like Trac or Redmine are the best
