Besides the searching MSDN with the course outline, there is little out there to help prepare for the 70-564 exam . Some say that using the 70-547 Training Kit book helps, but does anyone know (as a rough percentage) how much of the 70-547 book covers the 70-564 exam?

A:

70-564: PRO: Designing and Developing ASP.NET Applications Using the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, 70-547: PRO: Designing and Developing Web-Based Applications by Using the Microsoft .NET Framework

You could use a test simulator application by Transcender or a study guide by TestKing, in conjunction with "brain dumps" from various sites to get some real-world feedback from test takers.

Let's not suggest brain dumps, which are illegal and don't do anyone favours.

-1 for braindumps - please dont use those, they cheapen everyone elses qualifications.

Certification exams don't really demonstrate one's qualifications, only their ability to memorize, but I get the point.

547 deals with .Net 2.0 - I was involved in creating the exam. 564 deals with 3.5, and many of the questions will deal with new items. I wouldn't rely on learning for 547 to prepare you for 564.

what would you suggest instead?

Run through the syllabus and see how you feel about the sections. Then, just try the exam and see how you go!

An old thread but here are my 2 cents...

There is a new book comming out for the 70-564 exam. I preordered it on Amazon.co.uk.

Although some online stores (currently) indicate they have it in stock Amazon notified me that the book will be available by the end of May 2010.

Hope it helps.

Actually, that's the study book for 70-562, not 70-654
