Tooltips are possible in dropdowns in IE6?

Hi,

Am using a dropdown control in my web application. I want tooltips to be displayed as i scroll down the list in the dropdown, and the tooltips should be the text that the focus is currently on. This works fine in IE7 and Mozilla, but IE6 does not display tooltips. Any suggestions here?
