It seems my sIFR 3 text does not show HTML text if the Flash text is not displayed. Here's one of the pages in question:

http://www.jeremyschultz.com/client/orchardplace/website/beta/volunteer/

One person has reported not seeing anything when viewing this page, and I can recreate it by removing the Flash text with Firebug.

Testing with Firebug also suggests the .sIFR-alternate class is what's causing this: when I remove it, the text shows up, and it disappears again when I restore it. I copied the original CSS and also tried applying a few new CSS rules to .sIFR-alternate but nothing has solved it.

What do you think?

This is not a solution I'm afraid but a request for help!

I notice your question was asked some time ago so I'm wondering if you managed to solve the problem.

I'm using the jquery sIFR plugin and it adds an inline style of 'opacity: 0' to the sIFR-alternate class which causes this text not display neither when I have flash block on nor for print purposes.

I've tried replacing the opacity: 0 with display: none, but this affects the height of the output flash.

It's a long shot, I know, but any ideas? Thanks.
